FOUNDER BIO

Jimmy Scanlon was born and raised in Boston, MA., currently residing in Los Angeles, California. 

 

Following high school, Jimmy proudly served his country in 1999 as a field artillery crew member for the U.S. Army.  He’s protected his country during the tragic events of nine-eleven and brings the values he learned from the armed forces to each and everyday of his life. 

 

Jimmy’s passion for filmmaking started at a very young age when casted for a local television commercial. In 2013, Jimmy wrote and directed his first feature film called “Milwood” aka ‘The Orphanage”, which gained success with a national distribution deal with Redbox. You can currently find "The Orphanage" Tubi. 

 

Recently, Jimmy’s creativity in write and directing original stories has gained him success with optioning screenplays to studios, along with recognition and awards within some of the highest reparable screenplay & film competitions, such as the prestigious “Nicholl Awards”, “Cinequest” and “ScreamfestLA”, where his screenplays have been multiple semi-finalist winners and top 10 finalist. 

 

Jimmy is well versed in cinematography where he’s filmed and directed a handful of feature films, short films, episodic films , broadcast ads and commercials with notable talent. Previous work includes Jimmy working along side  Macaulay Culkn as part of Mack's creative team for his media brand  BunnyEars and is proud to present a film called "Methadone Mile" he helped produce.

 

Currently, Jimmy is in pre-production with the following features; "Devil's Detox", "We Have Guest" & "Trapper's Edge."
