FOUNDER BIO

Jimmy Scanlon was born and raised in Boston, MA., currently residing in Los Angeles, California. 

 

Following high school, Jimmy proudly served his country in 1999 as a field artillery crew member for the U.S. Army.  He’s protected his country during the tragic events of nine-eleven and brings the values he learned from the armed forces to each and everyday of his life. 

 

Jimmy’s passion for filmmaking started at a very young age when casted for a local television commercial. In 2013, Jimmy wrote and directed his first feature film called “Milwood” aka ‘The Orphanage”, which gained success with a national distribution deal with Redbox. You can currently find "The Orphanage" Tubi. 

 

Jimmy is honored to state his creativity for storytelling and directing has achieved  recognition and awards within some of the most reputable screenplay & film competitions, such as the prestigious “Nicholl Awards”, “Cinequest” and “ScreamfestLA." A handful of Jimmy Scanlon's screenplays and films have been nominated for awards.

 

Jimmy is well versed in cinematography where he’s filmed and directed a handful of feature films, short films, episodic films , broadcast ads and commercials with notable talent. Previous work includes working along side  Macaulay Culkn as part of his creative team for Mack's media brand  BunnyEars.

Currently, Jimmy just locked picture on "We All Have Demons." He is in pre-production with the following features; "Andover Palms", "We Have Guest" & "Trapper's Edge."
